Lovesick Lake is one of the smaller, quieter links in the Trent-Severn chain, between the Stony Lake area and Lower Buckhorn Lake. Its name comes from the Lovesick Lock Station, which sits on an island and is reachable only by boat, a rarity even among Trent-Severn lock stations.
The lake itself is narrow and dotted with small islands, with the same granite shoreline found on Clear and Stony Lakes.
